A state-of-the-art plastic surgery practice in suburban Pennsylvania had thousands of patient photos and medical records on file. The practice needed a system to organize them for quick and safe access that was also HIPAA compliant.
File-X’s Expert Technical Consultants visited the practice and determined that a VFR (Virtual File-X Room) would allow staff to search for patient records by name and Social Security number. This would allow for instant access to patient information, not to mention the electronic files would be secure and disaster proof.
File-X services for the practice included pickup and delivery, prepping, scanning, indexing, and destruction of the documents. File-X also constructed the VFR front-end to the client’s specifications, making it user-friendly for the particular needs of the practice. Day-forward scanning services are also performed by File-X, allowing the practice to periodically update its electronic file system.
With an electronic filing system, the practice says it has been better able to quickly serve its clients, reduce costs and time spent on filing, and can feel much more comfortable with the safety and security of their medical records.
