Lawyers going to court to represent a huge class action suit needed help. They were up to their ears in paper work, and it was physically impossible for them to lug all the documents necessary for the case back and forth to court.
After discussions with File-X’s Expert Technical Consultants, it was determined that the case documents needed to be scanned and integrated into an electronic filing system in order to make them more manageable. Using a laptop and a mini printer in court, lawyers would be able to access information instantly and print out exactly what they wanted. This would allow them to do their jobs much more efficiently.
In order to accomplish this goal, File-X provided document imaging services, which included prepping, scanning, indexing and employing OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to make the documents fully searchable. The documents were indexed using a Bates Number, which expedited document retrieval.
After the case was completed, an additional benefit of File-X services was realized – excellent, safe and secure archival of the case documents!
